We're just back from a lovely weekend at Kelling Heath, can't believe how quiet it was though, maybe due to Easter holidays being so close, empty pitches all around, made for a very relaxing weekend.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Lucky you! I am studying towards an impending exam and have put the camping on the back burner this year so far. I am so ready for a trip but can't go so I love reading posts here and looking at all the tent piccies so I can have my fix albeit second hand.
IF its quiet you want ,faugh head caravan site is the place. about 3 miles off the A6 between penrith and Carlisle, great views of the eden valley ,the site is adult only you can even book an indoor swimming pool for your self.
Had 11 nights at Water mouth valley site in north Devon.
most of the time we were the only ones on the site.
Beautiful site will go there again next year.
Eleven of us at Sandyhills Bay, near Kippford (one of Dumfriesshire's prettiest harbours). Loadsa room and a massive beach to ourselves. Site about a quarter full. Not school holidays, that's what makes the difference.

Easter in Cornwall, 6 units over the whole holiday on a 100 pitch site.
If the trend continues the site owners are going to suffer big loses this year.
I expect many sites had priced themselves out of the market, there is still a tendency to bump up prices at every opportunity. I wonder how the C&CC figures for Easter look?
