Having a look at this site for summer holiday. They have some premium pitches that are on the sea front - would these be a nightmare with wind?
Also has anyone been there and would recommend what might be a better part to try and get with kids. Our youngest are 6 and 9 - the other two teenagers (dont mention wifi or 3G not great) we might actually talk with them hehe!!

We were there yesterday, it was a bit windy but may be better in summer. Pentewan is a very small place with just 1 pub which gets very busy in peak times. and a couple of cafes. We are staying about a mile away at River Valley holiday park on a huge pitch 12m x 6m. The site is immaculate, lovely play park with zip wire and heated pool. I have paid 12.00 for a week wifi on this site. also have phone network coverage here but nothing down in Pentewan.
We've been going to River Valley just up the road since the year 2000 & it hasn't changed at all - a lovely family owned site which is immaculate and a lovely riverside walk to the beach.
Paul /julie you MUST visit the Polgooth Inn up the road if you have not been. Super pub grub!

Been to Pentewan every year for 36 years and there has always been a few days with winds, but don't worry where you are pitched as 99% of the time the wind is coming of the land and out to the sea.
TV reception is not great without satellite.

Here is site also near Mevagissey that has everything a campsite has to offer if you read the information.
Tregarton park - one of our favourite sites but not on a beach of course. It is however within a five minute drive of some of the very best beaches in Cornwall. Specifically
Caerhays Beach (Porthluney Cove) (1.7 miles)
