Has any one been to the Southport Musical Firework Championships? We are staying on the caravan club site which is right next to the park and wonder whether it is worth paying to go into the championships or whether we will see almost as much from the site?

Hi, most of the local people watch from around the town, no point in paying entrance fee, good vantage point on c.c. site. The extension to the site looks amazing although not quite finished.

on another event at southport if you are a c.club member the south lancs center of the club are holding a rally in the park next to the club site for the air show on the 19/22 september, contact details on the club website.

Thanks ellroy. Would be interested but only just back from two week holiday on 14th Sept and then away at beginning of Oct so need to spend some time at home to see the grandchildren and cut the grass, etc but worth looking at for next year.
