Hi, I'm new here so sorry if this has already been a topic.
When I booked with my family to go to Porth Beach Touring Park were were told our pitch could be no bigger than 6x6 meters. I've been reading the reviews on here though & seen someone had a tent that was 9x4 meters.
Our new tent does come within the 6x6 meter rule we were told about, mainly so we can camp there again as it's a lovely campsite, however I'd like to know how you get to pitch a bigger tent there?

Thank you for reading.

Or if you are a camping & caravan club member you can book a jumbo size pitch. The site is next door to Watergate bay site, and if you are fit, within walking distance of Watergate beach, but uphill way back.Watergate bay site does run a mini bus down to the beach.

Hmm, I like porth though.
I'll look at watergate bay. It's a bit far from Lusty Glaze though.

What's Hendra holiday park like? It seems a little pricey.

Well we're just back from Porth and loved it. What with easy access to the beach, walkable to Lusty Glaze (and in to Newquay itself), reasonable pub opposite and bus stop right outside (from where we went to Watergate Bay and Padstow.

Not sure how big your tent is but there were a couple of decent sized ones there when we were there. Also our campervan has a large awning and we were on a Yellow Pitch which was ample so I wouldve thought a Blue Pitch would be fine for most tents.

Saw signs to Watergate Bay camping and wouldnt mind trying it-we thought Hendra seemed a long way out, tho I know its huge and got lots of facilities if thats what youre looking for but in my opinion I dont think you'll beat Porth for location.

Porth is a pretty good location isn't it.
Our tent is the new hi-gear frontier 6. We've decided to buy it without the porch as the size is ample as it is, for us anyway. I do believe it's 585cmx380cm I think??
When we were on Porth last year someone had pitched one of the giant Outwell tents on a yellow pitch. I was told very strictly that our unit had to be no more than 6x6m for safety yet the plot we had was massive! They let us have 2 cars on the pitch it was that big lol.

The tent we've bought arrived today. It's huge!
Anyone have any recommendations for a roof rack that will fit a Skoda Fabia hatchback 2007+ model? It has no gutters on the roof. I've been looking at the HandiRack (entered the competition on here too) but wondered if anyone has used the HandiRack?
Sorry for all the Q's.
