As the title says really, it's throwing it down so I'm just sitting on the iPad, kids and wife out shopping so it's just a thought I had : I wonder which campsite is no 1 choice? I notice forest fields is very popular but it's one we haven't tried (yet). So all in all I wonder which is the most visited camp site used by ukcampsite forum members, every site we've used over the years has been chosen due to the reviews on here, so a big thumbs up, and here's to many more years happy camping

Fforest Fields certainly gets a lot of mentions - we haven't been either.
The reviews do help, but I wouldn't not visit a site because it had none or only a few reviews. I tend to think the little gems are the less visited and less hyped up sites.
We went to one campsite on here that was raved about but wasn't our cup of tea at all!
We have several "favourites" Fforest Fields, Nanctol Waterfalls, Deers Glade & Willowmere in Sudbury. I don't want to go to a "popular" site, just want a site that is well maintained, clean, tidy and not putting you as close together as possible so they can get as much money as possible.

The Inside Park has a lot of reviews and was very popular a few years ago. It was good but very crowded with some loud groups of families. Great woodland for walking and probably the best playground I've ever encountered.
Fforest Fields is very popular on here. We went a few years ago and felt slightly let down, the atmosphere was one of a secret club and as we weren't in a group felt a bit left out. That said, it was a lovely part of Wales and we still had a great time. I would go back but with friends.
We tried Dolbryn for one night this weekend seeing as so many have it as a favourite. It was a nice enough site but not one that would make me want to rush back to it, it's probably better suited to families
