Can anyone recommend a decent site that is near a theme park? I know of Flamingoland and we had never heard of Woodlands until it was mentioned on here but we are keeping our options open for any more? There are probably quite a few more we haven't heard of?
Would like a decent site for a tourer with either access/close to a nearby theme park or alternatively a site that is action packed.
We are catering for a wide age range (17yrs - 6yrs) so need to keep all ages happy and are open to all areas.
Many thanks.

Thanks, just had a look at ticket prices and Drayton Manor do a 2 day pass which looks like the second day is free? Not my idea of a relaxing holiday but as long as they are happy........
Recently went to a gem of a site just 3 miles from Alton Towers called Wood Farm.
Lovely place and the guy who owns it has a barn converted into a events venue where he puts films on a huuge screen in the evening for the kids and does a karaoke on Saturday night too.
If Alton Towers is your thing then you could do a lot worse.
Its also worth looking out for and saving the 2 for 1 vouchers for Alton Towers of cerial packets ect, also available from the CCs Great days out book of vouchers l believe.

There is also a Guillivers Kingdom theme park at Matlock, but its more aimed at younger children rather than teenagers. Matlock bath on the A6 has plenty of tourist attractions of its own including Cable cars and River Boat hire to keep the older ones well amused for the day.
For anyone after the special attractions entry deal vouchers, l caught the end of a Sainsburys tv add last weekend offering the 2 for 1 tickets with purchases of some brands of wash powder type stuff, so might be worth a look if your heading that way. Alton Towers and a few others were included in the deal.

We've just come back from a week at River Dart Country Park near Dartmouth/Exeter which was fabulous. Plenty of action packed fun set within natural surroundings. It's in a beautiful setting surrounded by hills and woodland within which there are adventure playgrounds, high rope trails, zorbing, canoe lakes, zip wires, and a brilliant pirate ship lake. Brilliant fun for everyone. We spent most of our week on site site and didn't get bored. Nice sized pitches. Has a cafebar for food and drinks which is open in to the evening.
Stayed for a long weekend last year at Crealey Meadows Theme park campsite also near Exeter in Devon. Nice modern site. Our package allowed access to the theme park directly through a gate from the campsite using a swipe card. Theme park is only open during the day and had something for all ages. We had a lovely pitch overlooking the pony paddocks and fields at the edge of the camping field which was a lovely spot. You can even pay to "own a pony" to tend to for a couple of hours at certain times. There was no bar or restaurant at the campsite.
Lots of reviews for both of the above on ukcampsite.
