We live in Bedfordshire and are looking for a site with in a 3-4 hour drive. Has to have things for the kids to do, pool if possible and reasonably priced. Also must allow dogs. Was hoping to find a site next to a sandy beach if possible, but the prices are ridiculous. One site wanted to charge an extra £ 4.50 per night per dog. Any suggestions please
------------- were caravaning but now tenting and now back to a caravan

Not cheap in high season, however it is child friendly, with child entertainment, pool, bikes and golf etc. Right next to sandy beach, short walk to fun fair and sea life centre. Tesco is also right outside the site.
Allows dogs but probably charges!!! Certain breeds not allowed but am uncertain which are not allowed of the top of my head.
I believe it will tick your boxes?

Dinas dinlle in Caernarfon North wales is great
It has a pool park beach small club with arcades.
They take dogs not that expensive not sure if it's within the miles/hrs you want to travel tho
What about West Fleet in Weymouth. Stayed at their sister site Sea Barn Farm (tents only). West Fleet has an outdoor heated (supposedly)pool, club house, shop and play parks. Short car journey to Weymouth with beach ,sea life centre, tank museum, farm parks etc.
Dogs £2 / night (or £3 in high season).
It is not however beside a sandy beach but has dogs / walkers walks down to the 'fleet' (chesil Beach) which is really lovely if you are into Geography.
