Can anyone recommend a quiet, unspoilt and friendly site in the Peak District?
We are based on the South Coast and usually camp in Cornwall, Devon or Wales. Thought we would try "up country" this August.
Thanks.

Have a look at Beech Croft Farm
A very nice and quiet site - we loved it when we went earlier this year and I'm sure we will be going back.
We are very friendly here, and it is quiet....But for August,id recommend booking soon..We get booked quite a while in advance, especially school holiday time :)

Try Ilam park national trust site, we've just come back and it was perfect. 20 pitches, but only half full most of the time.
I loved it there, with a short walk to Dovedale and the stepping stones.
Plenty of cycle tracks nearby, it's a beautiful place, especially in the morning and evening when the gardens and grounds are your own private estate.
Hope that helps a bit.

If you still looking,
Beech croft farm, buxton is good
Carsington fields is nice unless you need you're mobile or wifi,
Woodlands near ashbourne would be ok as it is quiet, usualy.
Know all of them as been there before,
Any question I'm quiet happy to help with info.
Tom, did you find the review section? I was coming back to check, and you'd whooshed your 2 threads! The reviews don't appear immediately, might take a few days.
Yes I did.maybe made a mistake as I couldn't find the sides straight away.
Apologies for that.
Did a hopefully usefull full review of one side, so waiting untill the other side comes up and will do the same.
