Hello advice please we've got everything ready for camping (electric hook up) would you go near to home South Yorkshire or head coast way? We have a 6&4 year old many thanks :-)

Whatever takes your fancy, your kids will find it an adventure wherever you are. You have to set up wherever you choose so doesn't really matter. We have tented in a whole range of sites but I found my children were always happy being in the more basic sites so we stayed clear of the sites with clubs etc.

The choice is yours, maybe not too far for first time. Have you had a trial set up in garden, always a good idea. We were nervous our first trip, thinking everyone will be watching the newbies, but its not like that, Most people will help each other. There are lovely sites all over. Our favourite is near Pickering , North Yorkshire. Excellent play area for children, no pub, just peace and lovely countryside. Good shop on site too and excellent showers, toilets etc. Things to look at on reviews. Enjoy yourselves whatever you decide.

We "camped" in the garden first step couple of nights with our kids (6 & 5) which they loved, just so they got used to the trailer tent & not having every single one of their toys/teddies to hand.
Since been away quite a few times & they are constantly asking when the next trip is!
