Hi,
I'm looking for the perfect site to take the kids for a week or longer in August. We live in West Yorkshire, and don't really want to travel more than 4 hours.
The kids are only small (6, 4, 3) so we don't want a huge busy site full of teenagers, or somewhere with a club house where it'll be really noisy at night, but a little park would be good.
We can't afford to pay more than £20 a night, and would also like it to be coastal.
Any ideas?
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Walkmill in Northumberlan ....
Ten tents, ten caravans/motor homes....
No clubhouse, massive trampoline the kids love, 5 minutes from the beach, lots of castles etc to visit close by, market on Sunday mornings in Amble about 15 minutes away.
Campsite is set next to a river, no traffic noise at all....
We paid £15 a night but that included electric.

about 3 hours from West Yorkshire, £20 for a 6 berth tent (no ehu) but has a nice little play area.
Driven past that on way to holy island a few times.... Great location
