Please help me decide on a New Forest campsite, I'm going round and round in circles and can't decide! I've narrowed down to the Camping in the Forest sites as with the 20% discount at the moment they are pretty good value, but I'm going backwards and forwards, reading reviews and panicking, so I need help to make a decision.

We're going mid-week at the beginning of August, in a tent with 2 kids (6&3). We don't need EHU but would be nice if there's somewhere to get icepacks frozen. I think this narrows us down to Ashurst, Holmsley or Roundhill. Any opinions on which of these sites would be the best for us?

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!

Have you looked at Hollands Wood, next to Balmer Lawn hotel, stream for children to paddle in, walking distance into Brockenhurst and train station if you fancy a trip by rail.

I don't like Hollands Wood. It's too busy and noisy.

I've also stayed at Holmsley, which was ok but it didn't feel like the New Forest and was also very busy.

I'd look at the other two.

Actually I'd book Long Meadow instead, but that's not what you're asking.
