Being fairly local, I haven't used the site but it is close to town and get good reviews. Peterhead itself is a bit run down but is expanding rapidly with drab modern housing. I use the town for shopping, but I certainly wouldn't want to live there....
However..... Cruden bay is only a few miles away and has a fantastic beach and world class golf course. Overlooking the village is the remains of Slains castle where Bram Stoker stayed as a guest and is thought to have inspired the idea for Dracula. For the adventurous, have a walk round the Bullers of Buchan. Also within a modest drive is Aden country park (pronounce Add - en) with its free farming museum and walks.
Iy you want alternative sites, check out Fraserburgh - unfortunately beside Youngs fish factory, but right beside another great beach or Aden country park.
------------- Two drifters off to see the world.
I'm tired of reality, so I'm off to look for a good fantasy.
