Are you thinking of Manorafon Farm? If so, yes it's very nice and I would recommend it, it's one of my favourites but not sure of how far from Liverpool. As a rough guide it takes an 1hour 50mins for me to get there from Bolton.

you could choose one anywhere along the North Wales coast from Chester to Conway to be within an hour of Liverpool, motorway / dual carriageway all the way.
