Having been just about everywhere, now trying to plan our next trip.
The only seaside areas we really like are those with clear sea and coves (Cornwall, South Devon, Anglesey and Pembrokeshire). So I am thinking about somewhere with a nice river(s) which would be suitable for swimming and also not too far from a town, or at least a large village for food supplies.
Any ideas for a CL/CS with ehu, preferably not more that 150 miles from Luton.

St Neots C&CC site is nice, right on the water but probably no good for swimming in. Ok for fishing and the boats travel by your tents etc. Also a lovely walk out of one end of the site along the river to a pub by the weir and out the other end of the site across a lovely green park to St Neots town centre where there are lots of lovely little shops and a market and not too far a drive to the nearest big Tesco for proper supplies.

Thanks, know that area well, my brother lives in Abergavenny. I am now thinking about the Ancient Briton (if my questions to them are answered satisfactorily), which is appropriate! More like 200 miles away so will need an overnight stop.

We are just about to leave for north wales .
This is only my second time there and I live in the south. But we are going to lady margarets park chirk . I would like to go nearer snowdonia but OH won't . But I have made a list of things to do . There are loads. We were packing bikes as well but thought it was hard work and may not have time to use them also the weather so put them back in shed.
I love walking and country side and any wildlife I can find if not I usually drag him to a zoo. ( which he hates ) I do hate towns but . If it is bad weather . There is Chester ,oswestry and Shrewsbury .
But like Brecon canals lovely scenery . A few NT places plus Llangollen is gorgeous and betws y coed .
I am reading all your replies because I am also looking for something different for next year.
