Hi, after a site between Norwich and Carlton Colville so we can visit both daughter at uni and son. Can't decide between Reedham or Burgh sites although Burgh wins over price!!
Anyone been to both who can share their opinions? I have read the reviews.
Thanks.

From Reedham it is a bit of a trek to get anywhere because it is quite a way off the beaten track - you would however get to use Reedham Ferry to get to Carlton Colville! Getting to Carlton Colville and Norwich is probably easier from Burgh Castle. I really like Reedham Ferry but for transport reasons I'd advise to be closer to the A12 or A11 so Burgh Castle would win for me.

Never camped there, but I used to sail on the Broads and Reedham Ferry was a favourite overnight stop. If it's half as nice now it will be still be excellent.
The then owners used to leave the toilets open at night so the boat people could use them - very kind, I thought!
We just got back from Burgh Castle Marina and we stayed at Reedham Ferry a couple of months ago (I have put my review on today but it might not go up for a couple of days).
Reedham is a nicer site in my opinion, but as mentioned above, it can be a bit of a trek to get to the main road from there. However, coming out of Burgh Castle today was slow going (lots of traffic) but it was the bank hol weekend so that could be why.
Burgh Castle looks a bit run down, but if that doesn't bother you it's fine. The views over the Broads were better at Burgh but I liked the pub and the site at Reedham more.

I've never camped at either site but you do get some stunning sunsets at Reedham.
I am fortunate that I am one of the Ferry Operators at Reedham and I always have my camera handy.

I'm planning on being down that way myself the second week of September, I'll look out for you if I use the ferry. Maybe our paths have already crossed as I used it last September.

Reading about the tides and currents on the rivers was wondering about the waters at Burgh as we like to put our kayak to use.
Still haven't booked as yet but leaning towards Burgh marina site, although this is nearer to son than half way.
Daughter now in Norwich for the start of uni next week, son is manager of The Wherry in Oulton Broads, like the look of Beccles but so mant sites are club members only.
