I am new to this camping lark, and to be honest I have never been to keen on it in the past,Much prefer getting on a plane and going and sitting in the sun. However my missus has been on at me for a few years now as we have 2 dogs and she does not like leaving them in Kennels. So I have bit the bullet and have hired a motorhome for a week mid september. The aim is if we like it then we will consider buying one for next year.We live in the midlands and the plan is for us to head to north devon,Can anyone recommend a couple of stop overs on the way down, maybe halfway and a couple of nice sites in the north devon area,Thanks in advance,I will post my trials and tribulations when I get back,or maybe I will be over the moon you never know. Thanks in advance tonethebone
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
With a motorhome you need to find a site near a town as you have no car to go touring the area. Ones that come to mind are Cheddar or Taunton in Somerset.
Have a look at the "Camp Site Search" section on here.
on the way down look at minnows just 5 mins off the M5 south J27 the site has its own access to the canal running alongside the site which is great for the dogs
------------- rescue - my favourite breed of dog :-)
