We stayed at Hopyard Farm when we had an even longer trip to break. But for one night, there's loads of choice judging by the UKCS map. (Another time it was the C&CC site at Winchcombe.) We didn't book, but chose at the last minute when we were running out of steam. Just turned up.
If you're in the Caravan Club - try Exeter Racecourse - just off the main A38.
Or try Doolittles Campsite, less than 10 minutes from the M5 at North Curry, Taunton way.

I can recommend Home farm CL listed under Weston Super mare in the CC book. Easy to get to and a really noce place to be.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013

We always stop here after asking the same question as you some years ago. Ashe Farm Caravan & Campsite, can recommened it.
Would second this suggestion. A little gem of a site a mile or so off of Junction 25.

Hortham Farm CL near the M4/M5 interchange, it's a very popular stopover so you do need to book well in advance, and to be a CC member. No loos or showers.
