Hi
My wife needs to renew her passport, which will involve a trip to London. She's not a UK passport holder, so there is no local office.
We recently got a campervan, so we've decided to test it out on a trip to London.
Which site would folk recommend, at least nearby. As a kid (many years ago) we nearly always called in to London for a couple of days after camping in Cornwall or Devon. Laleham and Chertsey were the sites.
Any site would do, even north of London, as we'll be driving there from Whitley Bay (Tyne & Wear).
My wife could take the train to the city centre ... I don't fancy the idea of driving a 1989 VW campervan through London. Anyway, her embassy is in Trafalgar Square, so that would be easy for her to get to.

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
We stayed at caravan club site at crystal palace last year for a week and it was brilliant, you can cut through park behind site to crystal palace train station and be in centre of London in 20-25mins.easy to get to we came down from Birmingham but went round m25 to a23 and came up into London, didn't fancy South circular with twin axle van!!
We've stayed at the camping and caravan club site at Hertford it's 10mins from the train station for trains into London or 15 mins to Cockfosters tube station. Either one should get you into Trafalger Square in about an hour or so.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
