hi
Iam starting early planning for our summer hols. I haven't found that perfect site yet .
I want everything perfect setting beach front great facilities but quit don't want bars clubs etc.
Where do you think the best Cornwall site is?
Price non issue prepared to pay , but will have dogs and kids in tow.
Thanks for any replies

I love Cornwall and have been going for 20 years, but have yet to find a camp site on the beach without a clubhouse, so I await to see what comes up as I may join you!!!!!

Hi
I know , to me the whole point of camping is to get the family back to basics.
A lot just seem like Benidorm in a tent.
We will see. I had heard of one way down south that's supposed to be very natural but can't remember it.
Cheers
John

Gwithian Area, The steps down to the beach collapsed in the storms last year so to get to the dog beach you had to go down the other steps that take you onto the no dogs beach.
You then had to walk through the no dogs beach to get to the dogs allowed beach.
belive it or not dog wardens waited at the bottom of these steps handing out on the spot fines to anyone who tried it. there is a sign at the top of the steps stating no dogs
even the lifeguards at the top advised you not to do it.
This is a fantastic part of Cornwall and i have been going to this area for many years and it only becomes dog friendly after 7.00pm when you can go on all the beaches with your dog.
The best all day beach i have been on is Peranporth where half the beach allows dogs.
Dont be put off, the area is amazing Put Hayle Cornwall into google maps and view the whole area.

Hi thanks
This looks pretty good , and very reasonable for me as kids go free.
Only niggle would be it does look cramped and a bit formal all in rows in the pictures.
But stunning location
Cheers

Hi
Done some research , some say church town farm some are saying gwithian.
One is beach front but one has the rave reviews and looks a nicer layout .
Anyone stayed at both
Regards
John

Hi back again
All previous suggestions are booked up so still looking
Been holding out for a cancellation on gwithian but nothing doing.
So anywhere else.
Prepared to give up the dream of beach front at this stage as long as near a beach
Cheers

Have a look at Old Macdonalds Farm, just outside padstow on the way to Perranporth. You can walk to the beach. We've only been outside school holidays so can't vouch for the facilities when busy. But it was lovely when we were there.
