Could anyone suggest a site in the Purbeck/Poole area which could offer a GWE pitch for my tent in mid Jan?

Have you looked on Camp Site Search?

Never stayed there, but as a C&CC member I'd consider Priory Meadow, a Certificated Site near the river, pretty much in the centre of Wareham, so very convenient for shops etc.

No toilet block though, so if you don't have your own facilities the public ones near the bridge (by the Old Granary) are probably your nearest.

Thanks Bob, I'm looking for a site with facilities. What I see when searching is hardstanding with ehu or grass without ehu. I thought I'd see if any advice before I start with the phone.
