At Fforest Fields, Builth Wells, when you turn up at reception, if ask they will get it onthe pitch for you, also Llwyn Tyddyn outside Porthmadoc will help onto pitch! Both are really friendly sites and spotlessly clean!

Unfortunately with the car we currently have if we had a motor mover fitted to the caravn it would tip us over our max laden weight, otherwise I would definitely get one.
My husband is hoping to go on a manouvering course, but we have just found out that we are pregnant with twins and what with preparing for this and a house move not sure how quickly he will get on the course

I hope you all have a lovely Christmas

Wow, you sneaked in the bit about the twins! Congratulations

Of course, I think I have now told everyone

When we first had our caravan I found manoeuvring onto a pitch quite difficult, especially if people were watching me. I found with practice I got better, one time on a narrow lane with no passing places I met a milk tanker coming the other way, I had no alternative but to reverse 1/4 mile back to a farm entrance. To my surprise I managed it with not too much trouble which boosted my confidence no end.
Now when I see people making a hash of pitching a caravan I think to myself "I was far worse than that when I started".

I found when I was learning to reverse I found it easier to stop the caravan wheels about 7-8feet past the pitch, turn the wheel the opposite way to normal reversing, when the van is getting near to pitch, stop and think,do I need to follow the van or turn the wheel opposite again, its when you reach that bit is were you go wrong, you cant think quick enough to know, after doing that a few times it started to become much easier, but its only practice that makes it easier.

Bath Chew Valley, the warden puts you on with his little tractor , and I'm not being rude, but he wipes his ball first!!! The site is Adult Only.
