Looking for a campsite in or around the new forest, never been to that area and would like to go this year. We have a little girl who will be 2 1/2 when we go. So a swimming pool and entertainment would be good.
We will be in a tent so, electric hook up and good faculties are needed. Any suggestions or anyone been to any that they can recomend?

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Although I live in Hampshire I have only camped in the New Forest once and unfortunately that was a campsite which was too close to the A31. The A31 runs right through the forest and is very noisy 24/7 so I would advise finding a campsite well away from it.
Also, some campsites allow New Forest ponies to roam freely through them and these can be a bit of a nuisance and can be dangerous. They have wrecked tents trying to get at food inside so unless you are a horse whisperer I would go for a campsite which is fenced off from the forest.
Try Sandyballs at Godshill right in the new forest a great clean site plenty to do on site with entertainment swimming pool defintley has plenty of horses outside of camp but none on site!.Bournemouth only half hour drive away also Burley well worth a visit
I'd also recommend Sandy Balls - has indoor play area (ball pit etc.) as well as indoor pool. But another one that's really good in this area is Shamba - it's near the A31, but far enough away to avoid road noise. It has an indoor/outdoor pool and a huge dog walking field, and is not far from Moors Valley - a wonderful outdoor playground and woodland, if the weather's OK. Shamba is cheaper than Sandy Balls.
