I was thinking of taking my have a 14 year old and her friend to a Haven site (or similar) with swimming pool etc to keep them entertained (I can only hope, you know what 14 year olds are like). I have a trailer tent but most of the reviews for camping on Haven sites are not very good. Can anybody recommend any sites preferably Yorkshire or Lincolnshire with similar facilities to Haven. Thanks

We went to Thorpe Park Cleethorpes in October a couple of years back.
It was our first visit to a Haven and we quite enjoyed it although it was fairly quiet as it was late in the year.
We had a super pitch which was well worn but ok,the toilets/showers were very good and it was nice to be able to walk to the entertainments if you wanted but did not disturb you if you didn't.
We did not pay extra for anything as we got a deal through Caravan Club.
Nice walk to Cleethorpes which is a much nicer town than I remember from when I was very much younger.
There is also Pleasure Island next door where I am sure
the younger ones will relieve you of even more money.
Have a look at Park Resorts or Away Resorts. Plenty of stuff for the younger end. Manor Park at Hunstanton, Norfolk, also Searles next door. It's only 1 hour and a bit further down than Cleethorpes or Skegness.

some days you are the tree.
I've been to several Haven and Park Resorts sites. The Haven sites are usually very good, as they have spent loads on new toilet/shower facilities. I agree that Thorpe Park, Cleethorpes is a good site Park Resorts sites are more variable in quality, but the only bad one I've been to is Waterside in Essex.
I have already booked a Haven site, in Weymouth, for March, and will be booking several Haven and Park Resorts sites for stays in early and late season, as they can be very cheap indeed - I stayed at Park Resorts Kessingland, last October, for £4.20pn including EHU and all park facilities
School holiday prices can be very expensive though

We, like you, have a teenage daughter and younger siblings too. We have been to Blue Dolphin several times and high recommend it, in fact I've just been looking to go again at Easter. Four nights from 6th April is £84
