Hi fellow motorhomers, could anyone suggest a small site or CL or CS that is near enough to a village/town to be able to walk to a pub and a little shop for a paper? Or cycle to the village on smallish roads?
We are not fussy about facilities, but electric would be nice, and dogs must be allowed.
Anywhere in North Yorkshire considered, but prefer to the east of Barnard Castle.Where are your favourites?
We want to go in august, so will need to book, even a CL.
All help welcome as need a bit of guidance.

The only place I've stayed at is Heron's Pond, Bedale, listed and reviewed on here. There are others nearby listed too.

There is another one at Crandall with exceptional facilities. Pub in village and shop. Perfect spot.
