anyone know of a good site in between Burton upon Trent and Gloucester. It's so we can have weekends with my sister without a long journey time. it needs to have a pub walkable and preferably a village/town for us to 'walk around' so we basically don't have to get in the car all weekend ?
we've 'done Clenhills' and the pub was a bit too far (mobility issues).Clenthills is also quite a bit closer for us than for my sister.

Nearer to Burton or nearer to Gloucester?
We are in Burton and have family in the Forest of Dean
Blackmore is a good halfway point for us.
Wolverley? Never been there tho
