We are a small cs site looking to install wifi and I just wondered how other small sites have done this.

If you contact your IP (Internet Provider) they should be able to assist your requirements as it depends on the area as to whether they can provide wi-fi on the scale you need especially in the mid-Wales area.

We use the Open Mesh system on our 3 parks, low cost and easy to use and set up. Just watch the videos. What speeds do you receive on the broadband? The faster it is the more reliable and better service you will give - it is the difference between good wifi and bad and it is completely out of your hands.

p.s. We went through 3 companies before finding this. Lots of false promises out there!! The last company that was taking commission etc actually had the same system set up which was taking the mick really.

we have just swapped to camp connect very easy set up and full online support given all for a very reasonable price :)
I'm not that small but my hubby is quite tiny ha ha ha!

We found the lowest cost options were with either caraweb or camping connect - we too are only small but the advantages of having the wifi outweigh the cost. The trouble with 'doing it yourself' are you have no way of monitoring what people are doing 'online' and as it is likely to go 'out' through your broadband provider should there ever be an issue or wobbly bits.com or the like ( or worse) the internet police will come looking for you and not one of your customer - this was the main reason we went to a company with the ability to allocate a username and password and thus 'tracking ability'.
