Where in Warwickshire? The south (which is where Jay is staying) is very different from the north of the county. I can give you some hints on places if you like (used to live at Kineton, in the south), but not so much for sites as we have a caravan and tend to use small no facility sites. Thinking as I'm typing (not easy!) and Kingsbury Water Park, not far from Birmingham, comes to mind. Not been there myself though, but folk seem to like it.
There are several sites at Stratford upon Avon, the Racecourse would be the cheapest, has facilities and takes tents. We have stayed there, it's fine. There is also a decent enough site at Wellesbourne, there is a huge market nearby, think it's Sundays and BHs, if that's your thing. A good cafe nearby at the flying club.

There is a Club site at Warwick racecourse, can't remember which one, and haven't been there.

There is, but it is a Caravan Club site, so not sure if they accept tents, not all CC sites do. Also, unless a CC member, additional price for non-members is £10 per night.
We've stayed at Kingsbury, and liked it. That's a C&CC site, which will accept tents but again, as a non-member, there will be an additional charge.
Stratford sounds good to me, not a club site, so no extra charges.

We stayed at Kingsbury oct halfterm for a few days. Very convenient road links. Good shower blocks, space for a big tent. We went for a walk / bike ride from the site round the water park, the kids really enjoyed the playgrounds they have there. We had a great day out at warwick castle from there.
------------- From tents to trailer tents to a tin tent to an air tent to trailer tent and back to tin tent!
