We want to have a week in the UK in August in our Caravan and take my Mum who would not manage to stay in the CV owing to mobility issues. I would be very grateful if anyone knows of a site near an accessible Hotel or B and B? Preferably in a small seaside town or similar where she would be able to potter about a bit on her own. Many thanks.

The Premier inn Carousel is situated right in the town centre of Scarborough, and provides disabled access rooms at a fair price. There is a Brewers fayre restaurant attached to the hotel serving breakfast and hot food throughout the day. I have taken my elderly Dad to stay here a few times in the past, and he loved the convienience of being able to just walk a few steps and be in the shops, or out in the gardens overlooking the south bay and harbour, or to hop on the cliff tram down to the seafront with all its attractions.
There are many sites to choose from within a 5 mile radius of town, and carparking spaces for blue badge holders is available in serveral areas along the seafront and in the town centre, and disabled daytime parking opposite the hotel.

Can't help with a specific place. UKCS has a listing of "pubs with camp sites" on the search page, though you'd then have to check how accessible the pub was for your Mum and whether or not it had accomodation. UKCS also allows you to search for campsites with facilities for disabled people http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/articles/view.asp?id=554 so maybe your mum could stay with you in your caravan but use the site's more accessible toilets & showers?

Norden Farm in Corfe Castle, with its associated B&B Norden House (linked from their website) - "We can also accommodate guests with moderate disability in a ground floor bedroom which has a wet room/wc." might be worth a look, although access to the village itself involves a bit of a climb, so independent "pottering about" may not be practicable.
