Husband is keen to go to this and through a motorclub, there's a camping package for the Silverstone Woodlands site available. I can't seem to find this on any reviews although it looks like it's an event only site. If we all went we'd have our 4 & 5 year old with us so I'm really keen to know if there is any kid running around space? And any other info would be appreciated!

If it is anything like the last time I was there, then no, there is no real space for children to run around and play.
The event is very popular and is usually very busy. Great if you are a car enthusiast, not so great if you're not! Personally I would think the kids would be bored.
We've camped at Woodlands for the F1 Grand Prix for a few years now. We've also camped at Dadford Road, Litchlake Farm and Whittlebury. I would recommend Woodlands over all the others. Proper showers and loos. Good quality entertainment. Security. Onsite pub. Close to the circuit. (I think I've put reviews on here about Dadford Rd and Litchlake Farm). We've not taken children, but lots of other campers have. At the F1 Grand Prix they show kids films in the Big Top. There is always a bit of grass somewhere for kids to run about. Our lad (23!) found space for a kick about last year. We've not been to the Classic before so I can't say whether it's the same as the GP. Have fun x
