Can anybody recommend an adult only quiet site Devon/Cornwall that will accept 4 adults in one caravan. My sons 25 and 21 still want to come on holiday with us but have become intolerant of children. We are not looking for a party party site. Most of the adult only sites will only accept two adults to one unit

There are plenty of CL sites that are run by the Caravan Club that will accept 4 adults. We have been pitched on a few adult only sites next door to Brothers/Sisters and their partners holidaying as two couples in the same unit, or Adult children taking their Mum and Dad away for a break, and these have all been on 'Adult Only' farm sites. The only thing that some of them do not allow is All male or All female groups who may be up for stag and hen type gatherings.
Quite a few CLs are situated within walking distance of a village pub and shops, takeaways ect, and some may have a basic shower and toilet block for guests to use. Im sure you would find something amoungst their wide network to feed your needs.

We have used adult only sites for the last 6 years and have a adult son who comes away with us all the time. We have never had any trouble booking for 3 adults and no one has ever questioned it. Just keep looking there are many sites out there who will take as many adults as you need .
Thanks for the replies folks. We prefer larger sites than CL but are really struggling to find adult only sites that allow more than two adults to a unit in the Cornwall area. I understand why sites are reluctant to have large male or female only groups but I have a 4 berth caravan and we still think we are booking as a family.

We've seen two couples staying in one caravan or one tent on several sites, and not just adult only, and certainly on Club sites. It's a hassle, but you may have to spell it out - one surname, 2 parents and 2 grown-up children. Agree with an earlier comment - some sites specifically don't allow single sex groups as they can be noisy.
If Mum is going with you as part of a family it wont be a single sex group, so should not be a problem. When my husband was at work l often used to take my adult Daughters away on my own with me, and book into family type sites, a quick phone call before arrival to explain that we were a mother and daughters family often got us instantly accepted on what was otherwise a 'no single sex groups' sites.
