Hi Kojak ,
Thats really helpfull we are going to book somewhere in Perranporth looking at Tollgate Farm as lots ot walks and close to beach looking to stop over on way down probably in the Bristol area as like you say a long drive but really want to enjoy my time in Cornwall
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Perranporth will be excellent. A lovely family town and beach without being too commercialised. It's also near the A30 etc so easy to go and see other places. Don't forget you surfboards!
If you get the weather (and its is a big if!) there are few places I have been to in the world that are better to be than parts of Cornwall.
Agree further down you go the better IMO
Main areas will be very busy in summer holidays and traffic can be a pain especially round places like St Ives
Newquay is absolutely nothing like Blackpool having been to both. Yes it does suffer from stag dos etc but the beaches and local area are lovely.
Get a couple of miles out either side and its really lovely. Mawgan Porth probably one of my favourite places anywhere to stay
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Love Mawgan Porth, our 16th year now although we stay at Carnevas Holiday Park a few miles up the road now.
I you want to visit St Ives do the park and ride on the train from Lelant, well worth it.
I would agree that Newquay is not like Blackpool, but i would say its Cornwall's equivalent of Blackpool.
Try an evening stroll through the town and you will see,
Just a few miles away you have one of my favorite places
Port Isac well worth a visit if you can find a place to park, you can park on the beach but watch the tide.
Hi Everyone
Firstly can I say a big thank you for all your information on camp sites in Cornwall but has anyone got any ideas of a decent stop over somewhere near the Bristo area as this seems about half way I think
