Hi
Does anybody by any chance know of any sites in Dorset where I can pitch a touring caravan and live in it for up to 11 months. All I can seem to find is park home sites that allow residential and I'm not looking to buy a park home.

I'd search for a site listed in UKCS that's open all year (your need for 11 months may be a problem), then book a pitch for a month and renew the booking each month, even if  you have to move to another site for a week and come back.

I think you are only allowed to stay for 21 or 28 days at a time, but you may find a privately owned site that will let you stay.

if any site lets you stay longer than their license states then they may well be risking their License. Most sites have 28 day ruling imposed on them by their local councils.

what about a seasonal pitch they give up to 10 months some of them look in uk campsite for seasonal pitches or google it .It may throw something up

A lot of sites seem very relaxed about living year round on site. A Friend of mine lives in a static on a site year round when it is meant to be a holiday site.

The site shuts down for a couple of weeks of the year in the winter when everyone visits friends or goes on holiday (I like the irony of going on holiday from a holiday site!!) and then return. So it is very dooable.

Seasonal pitches are fine, you leave your van there for the duration but persons are still restricted to 28 days!

Our license is 28 days on and then 28 days off (not 1 day), a lot of councils are doing this to stop people living on holiday sites

We are a privately owned site - and South Somerset DC issue our license and put their own regulations on it.
Each park will vary and each council can vary. Its always best to check directly with individual parks.

The maximum time you're allowed to stay on site is 21 consecutive nights,with a 2 night gap before you can return to the same site.
not checked c&cc but probably similar.
