I've been looking for a campsite in the Lakes with plenty of activities onsite for two boys to blow off some steam. I'm not into the big clubhouse sites. Needs to be dog friendly.
I did try to book the The Fisherground Campsite, which is exactly what I was looking for, but it's fully booked for May b/h.
Can anyone recommend a site just like Fisherground?
Many Thanks
Julie
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
click on campsite search at top of page.enter name of town or area in box then click town, county etc details of campsites will be listed and reviews of other members visits if you click details.
if you select one to look at you can scroll down to
see other campsites within 10 miles,up comes circle with red triangles in it these denote campsites in area.
click on these triangles to reveal details of sites.
What I do is highlight and copy postcode then, start google earth and paste code in search box.You can then have a look round area for campsite like on map post code icon showing where it is.What I do then is click on and hold little orange man on right at top and scroll him to where road is,you can then have a look on google street view at the campsite and surrounding areas like driving also looking for points of interest like nearest pub.I print out the details from uk campsite and screen prints from google earth a route map from AA or other and put them in a plastic folder ready for the bosses perusal and decision where we are off to this coming season
