Hi,

We are traveling down to Home Farm in Burham on Friday to stay for the weekend and have a look at their seasonal pitches. We have never stayed there before so not sure what the site is and what their pitches are like.

Just wandering if anyone on here has a seasonal pitch there or used to and what their opinion on the site was.

Hi,
I have scanned through the reviews thanks.

The last 5 reviews from 2014 are all people who stayed there for a short break and the rest of the reviews are over 2 years old so I won't pay much attention to them as a lot can change in that amount of time.

I was hoping for some feedback from anyone who has/had a seasonal pitch there.

Just wanted to say hi, as I am from Merthyr myself, but alas now forced to live in Essex....lol. Seriously lovely people but Essex doesn't have the same lovely scenery of Wales

It is a while since we stayed there. Nice big club, games room for kids and great pools.

Unfortunately what will not change is that the site is immediately adjacent to the main railway line to the west country, and there is no mistaking it when one of the high speed trains thunders by. The main road from the M5 into Burnham also bounds the site, and that can be quite busy at times both day and night with the boy racers.

Hi, yeah we heard about the railway line and typically the dog field is next to that which we need.

We off down there this afternoon for the weekend to check it out.

I'm hoping the trains don't run at night. Will ask some the other campers on that field and see what they say.

Have you looked at northam farm or warren farm in brean its self both good sites

Yeah both full.

We have left it way to late so have slim pickings at the moment.

I think both them 2 have a waiting list as well.

We had a seasonal pitch on Home Farm for 2 years - then the trains did run at night but you do get used to it!!
