Hi

Been some considerable time since I've been on here, we were motorhomers for some time everything from 23ft European to 32ft RV

We sold the rv a year ago and now that junior is 3 have decided to buy a tent and get out camping.

Other than we are having a weekend away in may locally for a dummy run we want to head to the Lake District in July for a week.

Can anyone recommend a good site close or preferably next to one of the lakes that has EHU for tents?

Have you tried the campsite search on here? It's very good.

C&CC club have some sites in the lakes, they tend to be busy and caravan heavy, but have excellent facilities. My personal favourite is Keswick, which is right on the lakeside and walking distance from the town.

im almost certain the site at Hawkshead (right by the village centre) has hookups for tents

showers are great etc, but pitches can be a bit hilly/ boggy
