Just a quick heads up that the Caravan club site Rowntree park at York has now got a tent area.

Great location, easily walkable to York centre. Nice site although typical CC (you could hear a mouse trump, early to bed etc.)

Well worth a visit.

I always thought it had a small tent area, although I didn't see any tents when we were there.

You might be right, but we have been there about 20 times and never noticed the tent area before, having said that we wasn't looking for it and usually had a few beers ;o)

Forfar has a tent area - didn't realise CC was allowing tents now.

Had a look on the CC website and there are quite a few sites to choose from. Not sure if the prices quoted are the same for members and non members.

Many C.C. sites have allowed tents for years. The ones I have used do not have hookup for tents, also some only allowed small backpacking tents which was what I was using.

Be interesting to see what size tents are allowed in general and if they have hookup available for tents nowadays?

P.s..There is very little info if any on there website regarding tent size or if hookup available.
