Hi, we have a booking for May BH weekend for two adults and two kids. Will be using our vango icarus 500 but as the kids are 13 they would like to stay in a tent on their own. Now the site says we can have two tents on the one pitch (as long as they fit on one pitch) but our only other tent is a outwell nevada 3 man. Would you say the nevada 3 is to big to class as a pup tent? Don't really want to have to buy another tent.

Yes I would say it is bigger than most would class as a pup tent. However, by the sounds of it the site are okay with two tents on one pitch as long as they both fit. So as long as they will, don't worry about their size

I would just give the site a call and provide the dimensions of your tents inc guy ropes in case they they need it etc and see if they have a pich suitable.

Otherwise a quick pitch tent for around £25

If only it was that simple. Our nipper wont sleep in a very small tent :-( Unless she can stand up its a none starter.

I would be brutal and tell the kids if they want to stand up they sleep in the same tent as Mum and Dad, if they want their own tent they have to crawl in.
