Hi, could anyone recommend any caravan sites in the Dales or North Yorkshire with streams running through them, as we have a 15yr old Lab who often needs to cool off in the height of the summer.
Thanks
Diane

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Brompton on Swale campsite near Richmond is at the side of the River Swale (well I presume what it is lol). We used to camp there when we first started camping and pitch close to the riverside - the noise was lovely for lulling us to sleep - and the visiting ducks were entertaining!

I was about to put that site onto "the list", sounds lovely, but our (rescue) Working Cocker swims after ducks (and swans and geese), barking as she goes and suddenly deaf.
Can vouch for both Cote Ghyl and Leekworth, both are lovely sites. If you don't have a stream on site there is a lovely one in the village of Brompton-by-Sawdon, between Pickering and Scarborough. We used to stay at Jasmine Park at Snainton, another lovely site, and take Bailey to this stream, about five mins away in the car down quite country lanes

Aug/Sept - Leekworth
Threaplands House Farm at Threshfield near Grassington. Stream runs through site. It's a bit antiquated but everything works, hot water etc...lol. Views of surrounding hills are really nice as well and last time we went price was really good.
