OP asked for an adjacent beach.... Sandyhills or Brighouse Bay in SW Scotland, but probably too far away.

You can search the UKCS listings for sites that don't allow dogs, if that's a preference. And for adults only sites, ditto. We have a dog, but we avoid sites that allow dogs to roam free (a few do) as ours was attacked on one such site. And by no means do all sites have a dog walk - we've been to many sites where the only place to walk the dog was offsite along on the busy main road, which is no fun at night (so we don't stay a second night).
