That is a H U G E question! Could you narrow it down to a particular area? or you'll have information overload. No point me listing the dozens I know if you're never coming north of the border, for example.
One person's idea of "dog friendly" could be another person's dog hell.
All the sites I have stayed allowed dogs, and have dog walks and bins etc...
However, all of them required the dog to be tethered and not allowed to roam freely on site.

OP asked for an adjacent beach.... Sandyhills or Brighouse Bay in SW Scotland, but probably too far away.
You can search the UKCS listings for sites that don't allow dogs, if that's a preference. And for adults only sites, ditto. We have a dog, but we avoid sites that allow dogs to roam free (a few do) as ours was attacked on one such site. And by no means do all sites have a dog walk - we've been to many sites where the only place to walk the dog was offsite along on the busy main road, which is no fun at night (so we don't stay a second night).
i don't really mind where in the country we go but I want somewhere ideally near a beach dogs can use with a pub or something in the vicinity that allows dogs in. lots of sites advertise as dog friendly when they mean dogs can go there but there's nothing worse than it pouring with rain and you can't go indoors anywhere for a drink or a meal. thanks for your reponses

This is the problem we have been finding. Fantastic sites but not dog friendly as in you cant take dogs into the pubs or snack areas :/ but yet loads of local pubs near me in allow dogs. Strange. I get the whole h&s with serving food but many pubs manage it. Lovely pubnear my home in Bradfield that allows dogs. Now sure why campsites cant manage it when there is such a demand.
The following sites might be handy Dog friendly beaches Dog friendly website
We have always found them to be accurate and helpful.
There are also lots of dog friendly places in the lakes (especially Windermere and surrounding places)including many of the camping shops, cafes etc.

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Seacroft in Cromer. It's a CC site. The beach at West Runton is dog friendly. Not too sure about the wardens though. A couple of years ago a warden there told a lady off because her little dog didn't make it to the doggy walk and had a wee on the path. She was so upset they packed up and moved off.
