We were in the C&CC for a year when we took out breakdown cover through the RAC which includes recovery of our caravan if we break down. I think the membership (for the C&CC) was complimentary. We didn't find their sites any cheaper and if anything their club sites were dearer than commercial small sites. We did try a couple of CS's over a peak period / Bank Hol period so if you prefer CS's or CLs it's probably worth it being in one of the clubs.
If you are able to "shop" around you can often find something that you're happy with.

Not if you're in a tent - £24 for 2 adults plus 2 children for 3 nights - cheapest I've seen
I think it's the cheapest I've seen as well, so I admit, I'm a little bit nervous that there's a reason it's so cheap. But nothing ventured, nothing gained, and worst case scenario, we move or come home. No great shakes, and from the photos it looks lovely.

how old are the kids? some do free places under certain ages.
standard pitch price (may include upto 2 adults)?
£8 a night is not bad so maybe they just have not added extra for bank holiday?
i am guessing there is no electric to the pitch, if there is you have an excellent rate and there is probably a clerical error as you say you have seen pics and its lovely.
are they the right pics to the site you have booked?
is there any small print that states the price you paid is for the tarmac'd area next to the bins?
i think it will be ok you have probably found a gem.
things might just be basic, it depends what you want. do you need an on-site pizza or chip shop? souvenir shops selling overpriced novelty toys of 'fun' characters that are the campsites mascot? itll be like proper camping none of that in your face 'come on everybody clap your hands' entertainment rubbish.
