Hi, we want to go to the Peak District (always gone to the Lakes before)but no idea where to start. We live south of London and its just the two of us after a romantic site, really peaceful and quiet. Nice views, wife needs fantastic shower and toilet bless her, pitch need to be on the flat (neither of us can sleep on a slope. We like to walk and explore with nice places to eat not to far away.

We are going second week in July.

Any recommendations?

Clover fields Adult only and showers are lovely. Staff very friendly
Buxton and Bakewell close by and some good walks around Hartington, Youlgreave and lots morr

Sorry, can't help you with finding a camp site but having spend 20 or so years living in and around the peak district it really is a beautiful part of the world - I'm sure you'll love your visit.

How about Upper Hurst Farm near Hartington. Not the cheapest but facilities are 5*. The area is lovely and loads of places to visit and explore.

We're going to Clover Fields for the first time Whit week, really looking forward to it, the reviews on here are great and the lady I spoke to on the phone when I made the booking was lovely.

Castleton and Holmfirth both lovely places to visit.
