I'm having to leave my seasonal caravan/campervan pitch - at Mill Park Campsite, North Devon unexpectedly! Typical waiting list to get my sought-after fishing lakeside pitch is 7 years. Such a shame - but what can I do.
The £1050 money I've paid 1 Nov is non-refundable. Site owner has said if I can find someone to take the pitch on, he'll allow this. Have one offer under the amount paid - hoping to get closer, but time is running out. Can anyone advise where I can reach out?
Advertised it here on ukcampsite, but think the ad is getting lost as there isn't a pitch for sale category.

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Can you contact anyone on the waiting list to see if they want it instead of waiting for next season.
I would imagine they would pay you for the rest of the year.
have not quite mastered the copy and paste of the ukcampsite review page yet, so search the review site and open up its web page and have a look for the side show in the Mill Park gallery page.
: Important: When posting details of a camp site, please ensure you link to their UKCampsite.co.uk Listing, not direct to their website, to enable reviews etc to be read or left!
Thanks Alpiner & Taylor56 - this is just the advice I needed. This website is so huge I forgot the campsites are listed here as well. Will have another look. Thanks again.

If there is a 7 year waiting list why doesn't the Site Owner offer the pitch to the next person on the list? It seems unfair that someone found by the seasonal pitch holder animal magic could effectively jump the queue!

Totally agree otherwise the waiting list will never go down and not fair on anyone waiting for a pitch.
Hello - yes I agree with you RotherV & Taylor. Just to explain, there are seasonal pitches available in the field further away from the lake. The campsite owner wants to make maximum profit. As I have paid in full already, when someone wants a seasonal pitch he doesn't mention my pitch by the lake is becoming free and sells them a pitch further away from the lake. (All other lakeside pitches are taken)
