I've been on the hunt for a camp site or land where I could set a new camp site up for sale. I'm only looking to set up a site on around 5-10 acres, focusing on tents rather than caravans. I really don't want to go down the route of statics as I find those huge sites soulless.
I love camping myself and my last business (A pub for 12 years) came to an abrupt end (had a car drive into it) I'm now looking at starting something new.
If there is ever a group of people who would have seen something for sale its got to be you guys.
I'm on the hunt for something in Wales or north Yorkshire (My favourite places to go)
Any help in this would be massively appreciated. If there's anyone else thinking the same it would be great to get in contact as two minds are better than one.
Thanks for taking the time to read this
Neil

Hi Neil, and welcome to the UKCS forums. I know which pub you mean, I pass it regularly on my way to and from work in town.
Can't help with camp sites for sale just now but I'll be going down to Anglesey next week for ten days (one of my regular haunts, see my blog :)) so I'll keep my eye out for something while I'm travelling round there and other bits of North Wales.
There was a thread on this subject not long ago and there was a link posted to sites for sale but I can't find it now - I'm sure someone will come along soon with a bit more info for you.

Anglesey is a lovely island with some fantastic beaches. I've often thought that if money were no object I'd buy the site I stay on and spend the rest of my life camping

edwards and partners, colliers and fox leisure are the main ones, remember tho it costs LOTS of money to do and once you own one you rarely get time ( if ever) to camp...

Thanks guys thought I'd found a place last week, drove up to look at it as it said it was a going concern. Got there to find out its a sloped boggy field with a hut near the gate. Plus it had been shut for three years according to the local tourist information centre. This was the advert:
