Hi fellow campers
I'm after some recommendations for campsites in Cornwall.
I like to have a private electric hook up pitch, preferably a hedged area.
Quiet sites without entertainment, but a small park for children.

Hi. We are going on our first trip in July...staying at Higher Harlyn which has both hedge & hookup...gets good reviews.

Currently at Gwithian Farm Hayle, can't fault it really, it has everything you have requested and NO clubhouse or entertainment.
Good facilities if you have children, a family bathroom and also bath for under 5's.
Great shower block and a good laundry too, camp shop and numerous van's with pizzas, fish and chips and pastries on offer.
We really like it here.

We've booked for Wheal Rodney this August, seems a nice quiet site with great reviews. They don't have a kids play area but do have their own indoor pool. The thing that attracted us to it was that it was small without a clubhouse or bar and gets very good reviews.

Take a look at Perran Springs, near Perranporth. Went last year, they have lots of pitches by hedges a small play area, wild life walks onsite, fishing onsite and a large recreation field with small goal posts for kids football games. A bonus, the showers are free and extremely clean - very friendly campsite and helpful owners. Good luck with you search.

The Laurels. 5 MIles from padstow. Hedged pitches, and small park for children . The camel trail is about 2 1/2 miles away.

i cannot over recommend tregarton park, near mevagissy, and st austell, playground for youngsters.great prices, brill helpful staff, tennis court for hire, hedges between most pitches in middle of site, own electric supply, very close water supply very clean toilets.

after 30 years camping,10 years in the very best 6 berth tent the wonderful royal biarritz6.tent manufacturers get it back into production. we now down sized to elddis gtx furicano: with dorema awning, very happy with it looking forward to next 30 years.
