We are looking to go to North Wales for a week in the Autumn with some friends of ours and like the look of the Plessey site in Wrexham.
Bearing in mind it may be quite wet at that time of year we wanted hard standing for the caravans and some on site amenities , cafe or restaurant if possible?
We would like to be in reasonable reach of Snowdonia for a day out , our friends would also like to be within reach of the coast .
This puts Plessey in doubt as although it sounds a lovely park , particularly for early or late season it's location may not suit?
Can anyone recommend any sites with good facilities in Notth Wales, without being on grass pitches ,that suits Snowdonia and reach of the coast ?
Thanks

If you are looking for a site with electric hook up near the North Wales coastline then try this site. It has 15 hard standing pitches, 19 grass pitches and an additional 26 standard none EHU pitches.
Hi tango55, site looks great and would be ideal perhaps in the summer.
I am thinking though that as we will be going around end Seot /early Octt with nights drawing in early and possibly rainy evenings in Notth Wales, after a nice long day out at Snowdonia or the coast, was looking to relax on a park in the evening with perhaps a bar or restaurant so if we don't want tto cook if we don't have too. .
Will keep it on the short list though.
have a look in the site search on here there are some great ones in Bews Coed, right amongst what your looking for and only a short drive to some great attractions

Haven Pwllheli might sound unlikely but it is near Snowdonia and beaches. The touring site has been recently set up with all hardstanding fully serviced pitches. It is set aside from the rest of the camp but the entertainment is only a short walk away.
It is expensive in high season but real bargains can be had out of season.
Tyddyn llwyn, Porthmadog is a lovely site. Miles of beach, and coves a few minutes off site. Has a bar and restaurant. Good level hardstanding pitches. We love it there!

Don't discount Manorafon; even in the Summer it can rain. Can have glorious sunshine in the Autumn.
There is a short walk into Abergele itself, with cafes, restàuantes, pubs. I had a 2 nighter there last week.

Hardstandings, excellent facilities, 2 minutes walk into the village where there are all the restaurants and cafes you could wish for. Plenty of shops selling giftware, clothes, outdoor wear etc.
Probably 30-40 minutes to the coast (maybe a bit less). You are in the heart of Snowdonia, and the village is gorgeous.
Plassey has plenty of hardstandings - currently it has 54 and by July will have gone up to 60. These are on a mixture of fully serviced and standard pitches (all with electric hook up).
Hope to see you one day this year,
John
