Please can anybody recommend a site where I can take my tourer in north wales and leave it there in storage but also use the site for holidays. I have seen sites in other areas where a charge of approx £1.25 daily and then you pay the usual camp fee whilst using the caravan/site. Unfortunately, I am struggling to find one near the coast of north wales or Anglesea.   Regards Louise. Must be dog friendly too.

I believe a season pitch is £1500

I know storage is £10 a week then moving your van is another £10 as we were there last weekend.

Its a lovely site for viewing North Wales and Anglesey , a lot of pitches are in a walled Victorian garden so its quite sheltered. The negative is that the toilet block is fine but not caravan club standard and the showers soak the toilet floors. We prefer to use the facilities in the van, as each pitch has its own bin and tap that's quite nice.

The other sites we have visited is Kingsbridge but I don't know if they do storage

This site does seasonals and storage its a fantastic site but quite windy due to the wind coming off the mountains. When we visited in March it was about 60% seasonal vans so it obviously doesn't put most people off.

Add the Welsh Mountain Zoo to that list too - not far from Conwy and imo well worth a visit.

It depends what you think the best attractions in North Wales are - if you like Blackpool-type attractions then no, Conwy Touring Park isn't local to anywhere like that, but if you like great scenery and interesting places then the Conwy area makes a great base for exploring many of the ones on the above list.

Another attraction for the list - Penrhyn Castle near Bangor. I found the inside so fascinating I went round it twice.

conway touring park do it stayed there on number of ocations and thay store them good rate as well

I would have thought Conwy touring park was a bit too far out, at least a good 20-30 minutes from the Menai bridge?

Kojack a great list of places to visit there, my favourites though are Newborough forest and beach, Beddgelert and the views of the fish trap cottage on the Menai straight. I like a nice wander around Caernarvon too especially the harbour.

I haven't been in Penrhyn castle yet Tigermouse, having a dog limits our visiting but there is a nice walk around it that I really enjoyed.

Do go in if you can, it really is a fascinating place - maybe you could take turns while one of you stays with the dog? It was a very dull, cool and rainy day when I went so I left my two in the van with plenty of ventilation and in the shade of some trees and they were fine.

What you do need to watch out for these days in North Wales is which part of the beach (if any) is accessible to dogs. When I looked into going to Anglesey, I couldn't find a single beach that dogs were allowed onto...so I went to the Cumbrian coast instead. Although there are a few beaches that are accessible to dogs (Aberdaron and Abergele spring to mind) there are dog wardens and fines if you stray onto the wrong bit of beach.

14 beaches where dogs are allowed all year round and just 7 with restrictions. I take my two on Anglesey's beaches regularly and never have a problem.

In answer to the OP.
Whilst not on the coast Tyn Cornel near Bala will do this they charge £130 winter storage and £1 per day throughout the season with pitch fees on top and will pull your van onsite ready for your arrival.
