I am looking forward to next year, already I know, but like to have the next one planned to keep my cheerful in return journeys!

Anyway there are a group of approx 5 families with kids ranging from 10 down to 1.

We are interested in IOW, as some of the group have been before but would like some recommendations for you lovely knowledgeable lot.

We would like to be near a beach, we have a range of outfits tents, TT and caravan and would like to be able to pitch near to each other of not together.
The older kids and adults I think would be interested in a bit of body boarding and some entertainment would be nice, also a play area, I have tried the search option but sometime word of mouth is better!

Thanks in advance.

We stayed in a static at Park Resorts at Nodes Point. They have pitches at this site and also Thorness Bay.
The beach is 5 mins tops walking distance from the pitches at Nodes Point.
Both sites offer on site entertainment, and I remember Nodes Point having a small indoor pool. Can't comment on the entertainment, as tbh, this isn't our sort of site, so just spent most of our days/evenings out...but our boys who were young teens at the time, thought it was great
Hope this helps

Hi Joflo2, I live on the IOW. Another vote for the suggestions camper clan has mentioned.

Also, on the west coast of the island near to compton bay is Compton Farm comptonfarm.co.uk

Also Grange Farm on Brightstone Bay. I'd look into all of them. In the summer Compton beach side is the nicest through all of the island.

There's also a few in freshwater. 1 particular 1 i've stayed at is Heathfield Camping Site heathfieldcamping.co.uk

Let me know if you require any more info to do with our island :)

Don't follow where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.
