River Dart is really good, We were there at Whit. The Plassey has a fab fort style adventure playground which is local to us so we like going there too.

We love River Dart too although the playground is part of the activity centre and the playground near the pitches was rubbish. I've found though that campsites with natural features such as rivers and ropes swings actually keep my kids amused for longer.

My grandchildren loved the playground at Haw Wood Farm, Hinton near Saxmundham in Suffolk. Brand new this year and it certainly kept lots of children amused.

Since this holiday now on a mission to find other sites with good playgrounds ready for next year. By the way our grandchildren live with us.

Pillaton in Penkridge, Stafford has great play areas for both younger and older kids. It is only a 10 minute or so drive from where we live but our grandchildren love it there. Pillaton makes a good base from which to explore.

A few years ago we were recommended Clippesby by some friends and we would never go back.Mabye it has changed.
From the idiot neighbour in his massive wooly jumper who greeted us before we even got out of the car with "where you from then" in a very strong West Midlands accent and then called us Yorkshire puddings, to the muddy site after a bit of rain and half the place closed down during the middle of Easter.
Not our best choice of sites.
