we are looking at going away for 3 nights in the October half term break, we normally go fforest fields but are looking for sites in Derbyshire with a similar type of feel. somewhere where you are not crammed in and that allows fires, we were nearly decided on beach croft farm but they do not allow fires, any ideas or is it a trip to wales again?

Hi my first thought was beech croft
Is it a proper campfire or would using a fire pit be a decent compromise

Birchwood farm not sure if they let you have fires but they are quite free and easy just ask

i suppose its more of a fire pit, its dish shaped and it on legs so off the ground. will have a look at birchwood farm

We don't allow camp fires on the ground but we do allow fire pits as long as they are raised off the ground and kept under control at all times :)
I think we will have to make this clearer on the website :D Beech Croft Farm , Buxton
